Lighting the Jack O Lantern

Avery has been insisting that we light the jack o lantern outside where it is dark. So I bought a candle and we put it on our front lawn.
She got this bat mask at the Winter Haven festival and is flapping her wings like a bat. Too cute!

I must say, Daddy carved a pretty impressive pumpkin!

Paige

Paige fell playing outside at daycare and got this bump on her head. Poor thing!
Paige practicing her yoga moves.

She has discovered that a backpack is supposed to be worn on your back. It seems like all of a sudden she is a "big girl" now that she is one. She's not my little baby anymore!

The only problem is that it is too big for her and she keeps losing her balance.

Pumpkin Carving

The fall-like weather that we have been having got us in the mood for carving a pumpkin. By fall-like weather, I mean that it was 78 degrees and we could actually wear pants!!! Don't worry, a cold front is on the way and the high tomorrow is only going to in the upper 60's! Break out the snow pants!

Pumpkin carving is serious business!

Adam and his proud creation.

Family Fun Center - Paige

Paige preferred to slide down on her tummy. Too cute!!

The ball pit is always a favorite!

Paige ran around the play area and had a blast. She wanted to do everything that big sister was doing but just wasn't able to. All of the other parents kept asking how old she was and they were surprised when I said she just turned one. They couldn't believe she was running around so well. She just looked too little to be climbing and running like she was.

Too much partying for this little one! She was so wiped out after all the birthday fun.

Family Fun Center - Avery

Avery was invited to Vivianna's birthday party on Sunday. Vivi is Adam's friend's daughter. It was at Family Fun Center which has a great big play/climbing area. Adam and I were both so impressed that Avery went climbing in everything.

Avery and Vivi jumping in the bounce area.

All the party kids having pizza after working up an appetite in the play area.

After pizza and cupcakes they were given tokens to play some games. Paige was trying to help!

Halloween Block Party

Our town had a Halloween block party Saturday night. They had hayrides, puppet shows, inflatable bounce houses, games, and of course, lots of candy. Avery dressed up as a cheerleader. I was honestly suprised she choose that over being a princess. This is her with her bucket of candy and flower balloon.

Paige did not dress up but enjoyed all the fun from the comfort of her stroller.

Ballerina

Avery and her best friend Kennedy are have been taking ballet classes together. She asks me everyday if she has "ballerina practice" eventhough it's only once a week.

Don't aske me what she is doing with her tongue. I hope she doesn't do that during the recital!!!

New toy

Paige LOVES watching the balls pop out of this toy!

Here Daddy - you try!

Patriot's cheerleader

Mammaw and Gimper sent this Patriot's cheerleading outfit for Avery. This may just be her Halloween costume. All she cares about is that the skirt twirls when she spins around!

More Bday

Paige (and Avery) love this new musical/learning table.

This is Avery's wedding dress. She calls it her wedding dress because it always seems that she wears this dress when we go to a wedding. She likes it because it twirls out when she spins around.

Crazy Paige!!!

Daddy's friend Aaron and his wife Amy gave Paige a birthday present too. She still hasn't quite figured out how to open them yet so thankfully big sister is always around to help!!

This is such a fun toy!! Paige laughs hystarically when the balls pop out! Thank you Aaron and Amy!!

ALCS Game 7 - Tropicana Field

Adam and I went to game 7 of the ALCS in hopes for a Red Sox victory. Unfortunately, the Tampa Bay Rays won and will be going to the World Series instead of the Red Sox. Maybe next year honey! It was still a fun game except that we got home at 2:30am and I had to work the next day (while Adam had the day off!!)

First present

Paige is figuring out how to open presents.
Good thing Avery is a pro!
Mmmm.... this cake is good!!!

Paige's First Birthday!

Happy Birthday Paige!

Welcome to the Salley blog!

Hi everyone! I have decided to give blogging a try so that all of our friends and family who live far away can still watch Avery and Paige grow. Hope you enjoy!
