Who's cute kids are those?

Oh yeah, mine!

Memorial Day Weekend

What a great weekend we had! First of all, I had an especially long weekend since I also took Thursday and Friday off work. I just had a million things to do around the house Thursday and then was headed to Jacksonville on Friday. My sister, Christina wanted to have a yard sale and asked me to help. I, of course, love yard sales and was happy to contribute. However, with all the rain we have had we were not sure if we could even still have the yard sale but I hauled all my stuff up to her house anyway just in case. We spent Friday night getting everything ready while the rain poured down. Saturday morning we thankfully woke up to somewhat blue skies. We sold a lot of stuff all morning until about 10:00am when it started to rain and we had to call it a day. Still a very successful sale and Avery and Paige had so much fun with their cousins. Sunday afternoon we were back at home and spent some quality time at the park (until it rained, of course).
We were invited to two Memorial Day picnics on Monday. The first one was at my friend, Jenn's house and we enjoyed some BBQ, swimming and street luge. Yes, that is Adam riding a homemade street luge down the street.

Next we were off to our friends Aaron and Amy's house for another BBQ. We had a great time there as well and enjoyed the company of some very good friends. And of course no Memorial Day picnic is complete without a balloon toss game!
It was a fantastic and busy weekend that we all could have used another day off from just to recover!

Cute hair

Last week I took Avery with me when I got my hair done. I had been taking her to places like Fantastic Sams where they charge $15-$18 just to snip across the bottom. Well, the last time I got my hair done my stylist said to bring her in with me and he would cut her hair for free. Yeah! He gave her a real hair cut, not just a snip across the bottom and it looks fantastic! She also let him blow dry her hair which she has never ever let anyone do. She loved how bouncy it was and kept dancing around the salon while he was finishing my hair.

Be like Avery

As most little sisters do, Paige wants to be just like Avery. Avery was wanted to wear a headband to her school program so Paige had to wear one too!

Just a cute pic of Paige! Who can resist?

School Program

Avery's school had their spring progam last night. They always do such a great job and I love watching the little ones sing. Avery has been practicing her songs for months and it was fun to see her sing with all her friends. I was so glad my camera battery lasted long enough to get a few pictures. We also took video so hopefully that will posted soon.

They made self potraits of themselves. Avery's is the one right behind her in the pink shirt.

Oh, no!

So I think I may really need to buy a new camera. I am not happy about this at all. For some reason the battery won't charge any more and I can charge it for a whole day and it will either turn on and take two pictures or not even turn on at all. I even purchased another battery thinking that it was only the battery. Well the new on lasted about two weeks before it started doing the same thing. I am so frustrated and really don't want to have to spend money on a new camera. However, I am officially addicted to posting pictures on this blog that it is killing to go this long without any new pics. Such a dilema.

On another note, I hope everyone had a great mothers day. Ours was pretty laid back. We went to church in the morning and then I had to do my weekly grocery shopping. After that all of us, except for Avery took a nice little Sunday afternoon nap. While we napped Avery watched Peter Pan which we checked out from the library the day before. Then we had a great dinner at GrillSmith followed by a special treat - ice cream at Cold Stone! The girls were so well behaved and I absolutely love little family outings.

What a weekend....

We had such a busy weekend and I'm not quite sure where to start. Oh yeah, with a fever. Unfortunately, when I picked Paige up from school on Friday she had a fever of 102.1. Her fever continued to the next day and then was gone by Saturday evening. She had no other symptoms so it must have just been a little virus. We were invited to Kennedy's house on Saturday to try out the new slip n slide she got for her birthday a couple of weeks ago. The girls swam for a while but I think Avery was more interested in all the toys in the Kennedy's room. They were so cute dressing up like princesses. Unfortunately, my camera was not working properly this weekend so I don't really have any pictures. Adam and I were supposed to go to the Red Sox/Rays game on Sunday but since Paige was sick on Saturday, I decided to stay with her instead of leaving her with a babysitter. Adam ended up going with several people from work and their spouses. Since Paige was feeling better by Sunday we went to church and then our church picnic which was that afternoon. The girls had so much fun at the park but once again no pictures. I did however, finally get the camera to work when we were eating dinner last night. Paige loves corn on the cob and is a pro at eating it!
