Swimming

Yesterday was our six year wedding anniversary. Instead of spending lots of money on a babysitter and going out to dinner or something, we spent the day at Splash Island water park at Cypress Gardens. We have yearly passes from last year that are still good this summer because they closed for a few months to make changes to the park. Avery did really well in the water and I am looking forward to her taking swim lessons this summer.

Last summer Avery would not have gone this far from us. She is getting more and more confident.

Magic Kingdom

We decided to take Avery and Kennedy to Magic Kingdom for their birthdays and they enjoyed it so much! They are at the perfect age to appreciate it all. Avery kept saying "Disney World is FANTASTIC!" Except for a few quick showers, the weather was perfect. We must have picked a good day because we didn't wait in line longer than 10 minutes for anything (except to meet the princesses). I am now convinced that Disney World really is the place where dreams come true.

Kennedy's birthday

So almost everyone knows that Kennedy is Avery's best friend and has been forever. Their birthdays are exactly two weeks apart and it's so fun to really celebrate their birthdays around the same time. We went to Kennedy's house on Sunday for her party and while Avery wasn't really into the waterslide they had she was till excited to celebrate her best friend's birthday.
She likes to be front and center to help Kennedy open her presents.
It was a Wizard of Oz themed party so the cake had ruby slippers on it.

FUN!

My friend, Robin, invited us to an Easter festival at her church on Saturday. They had all kinds of games and crafts as well as an egg hunt. So much fun!

Egg hunt

Here are pictures of the egg hunt. They had sections roped off by age group.
Paige is getting her game face on and deciding which eggs to go for first.
And she's off!

Now it's Avery's turn.

Easter baskets

We hope everyone had a great Easter. We were happy to have my sister and her family over to visit. All the kids had fun finding out what was in their baskets and searching for eggs hidden around the house. (Notice the large shirt Avery is wearing. Gimper sent this to her and now she always wants to sleep in her shark shirt eventhough it goes all the way to her feet. Thanks Gimper.)

Easter dresses

And so my matching dress obsession continues....

Just like Mommy...

A great day.

I took yesterday (Monday) off work to spend some quality time with Adam and the girls. What a great decision that was! Sunday was so consumed with Avery's bday party that I really needed that extra day. We took the girls to the park and had fantastic time followed by lunch at Avery's favorite place - Moe's. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon playing with all her birthday presents. The best day ever!
Avery did a great job balancing on these little discs.
She was so interested in this little girl statue. She wanted to know everything about her, including what her kitten's name was.

Princess kite

Avery got a princess kite for her birthday and since yesterday was the windiest day we've seen since our last hurricane, it was a perfect day to try it out.

Watch out Daddy!
