This past Saturday the girls and I visited my aunt and uncle who live a little bit north of us in The Villages. My cousin, Mary was also in town from VA so it was great to see her as well. For those of you who don't know, The Villages is not your typical retirement community. It is its own town, complete with a "downtown" that has restaurants, stores and even a hotel. The weather was beautiful so we spent most of the afternoon outside. The girls wanted to swim so badly but it just wasn't warm enough. Instead they rolled up their pants and sleeves and played in the water as best they could.

Beautiful girls!
New playground
Swinging
The hill slide
This is a very steep turfgrass hill that you can slide down. A lot of kids were sliding on cardboard but it's not really necessary. It kind of reminded me of sledding except on grass, not snow.

California
Last weekend Adam and I went to California. He won this trip through a contest that Yamaha sponsored at his work. They sent us to the Supercross race in Anaheim. We were gone for three days without our girls. Although we misssed them very much, we did enjoy the freedom of being able to do whatever we wanted and not having to worry about feeding, diapering, pottying or putting them to bed! We flew out Friday morning and had part of Friday and Saturday morning to sight see. We rented a car and explored Downtown Disney (our hotel was a few blocks from Disneyland). Saturday we drove to Hollywood. Then Saturday night was the Supercross. I had never been to a Supercross but it was a lot of fun. The only thing that would have made it better is if it wasn't so cold! Here we are outside the Chinese theatre where all the celebrities put their hand and foot prints.

Super Bowl Eve
The Super Bowl was in our neck of the woods this year and we seized the opportunity to go to the NFL Experience. Unfortunately, we had to go after Adam got off work so we were only there for a few hours but it was still a great time. The place was packed with Steelers fans. I was wearing my Steeler shirt but it was so cold I had to put my fleece jacket on. At least I could still sport the Terrible Towel. Here we are outside of Raymond James Stadium.
Watch him go!
