The Library

We have a great local library in Winter Haven that I often take the girls to on Saturday mornings. They love to read books and play with the puzzles. Grandma and Grandpa bought them these super cute tote bags to carry their library books in. Usually Paige really enjoys reading books but this time all she wanted to do was carry around the bags. She walked up and down the rows with one bag on each arm the whole time we were there.

Whew!

I'm not quite sure where to start so here goes.....thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers and cards the last couple of weeks. We just returned from a week in Pittsburgh to gather as a family and celebrate the life of my Grandma Jan who passed away a few days before Christmas. I am so grateful that EVERYONE was able to be together. We had close to 20 people staying at my parents house and it was crazy fun. It was a little colder than we were used to but we did have some days warm enough for the kids to play outside. We also went to the Children's Museum one day (pics further below). Can you believe I took over 100 pictures this week?? I've tried to put up all the good ones. There are a lot of new posts and they don't all fit on this one screen so please check the archives for any that you haven't seen yet. There are six other new posts that have already been moved to the archives. Just click on their titles to view them.
The girls had a blast playing in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard.
Maybe Avery inherited some of Adam's athletic ability after all! Paige, Avery and Anastasia sitting on the step at the back door.

Water Works

New Year's Eve was the coldest day of our trip so we went to the Children's Museum in Pittsburgh. It's a huge museum with lots to do. The kids had a blast! They have a water play area where the kids can put on rain coats and crocs. At first Avery didn't want to get wet but she ended up having a good time. The water was soooo cold!
All the raincoats were too big for Paige so we just let her play in a shirt and diaper. All she wanted to do was eat the boats. Good thing we brought extra clothes!

These are pipes the kids could use to make fountains and channel the water through.

Giant Light Bright

The museum also had a giant wall sized light bright where kids could put pegs in the wall and see them light up. Paige loved this! The cool thing is that I also have pictures of Avery (about this same age) playing with the same light bright wall at the children's museum in Bangor, ME. I love the "redo" moments. I'll have to find Avery's pic and post it as well.

Memorial Service

Here are a few pictures from my grandmother's memorial service. It was great to have all the grandkids together.
This table was a display of some momentos from Grandma Jan's life.
This photo was taken in the nursery at the church which is why we have elephants and zebras in the background. When do you ever see Adam wear a shirt and tie? So handsome!

Toothbrushing

Paige has a new fascination...brushing her teeth! She sees Avery do it everyday and has decided that since she now has six teeth (with another two coming in) that it is time to start brushing them. She climbs up on the stool at the sink and she is just barely tall enough to see in the mirror. She brushes and brushes and then practically throws a tantrum when we take the toothbrush away. If we even mention brushing teeth (usually to Avery) she runs straight for the bathroom. It is way too cute!
