Last Friday night Adam and I attempted to go to an Orlando Magic game. One of his friends from work gave us tickets since he just had knee surgery from a softball injury and wasn't able to go. Neither Adam nor I follow basketball but we almost never pass up an opportunity to do something without the kids (AKA have a date). Believe it or not my sport junkie husband had never been to an NBA game. I had actually been to one a few years ago. We knew we were going to be a little bit late since we had to wait for Adam to get off work before we could leave but we had no idea how late we would actually be. As we drove on an exit ramp of one highway, getting ready to merge onto another the traffic suddenly came to a complete stop. We couldn't see what was up ahead but since traffic was at a total standstill and police cars were driving down the shoulder we assumed it was an accident. Soon after we heard a caller on the radio call in to let all the listeners know that a truck transporting oranges had tipped over and the road was blocked by the millions of oranges that had spilled. Unfortunately, orange trucks tipping over and spilling oranges is a somewhat normal thing around here. Anyway, after sitting on the ramp for more than 40 minutes we finally made it the game halfway through the 3rd quarter. It was a close game but Orlando pulled thru in the last seconds to get the win.
